Waldhaus zur alten Tram
When one of your closest friends is getting married and you’re a wedding planner… ahhh dreams do come true! And then a pandemic comes around. Suddenly it’s not so easy to motivate your bridal couple. To promise them well. Let alone look objectively at the situation. As a friend you would like to just rant and rave.
BUT I can tell you: I pulled myself together. Wonderful people. Thorough planning. Lots of love. And a little bit of luck. All this contributed to Julia & Philipp finally being able to celebrate their love with family & friends in April 2022…
And ohhhh how yes, we did celebrate, but that probably belongs in a diary and not here. So now some impressions of the day that Julia & Philipp call their “dream wedding”.
Waldhaus zur alten Tram. A dream directly at the edge of the forest.
Located in beautiful Grünwald near Munich, the location offers not only a casual space to celebrate, but also plenty of room for a free wedding ceremony among trees, champagne reception outside and perfect spots for photos. Unless the sky decides to cry because the cutest blonde in Germany is getting hitched (Julia, you can send me the 10 bucks for that line via PayPay). But even then the team of the Waldhaus zur alten Tram has a great plan B, which is of course ready when we arrive: A tent. Heated. And so the free wedding ceremony definitely didn’t fall into the water.
Claudia Finger-Erben. She is also one of the reasons why the wedding ceremony didn’t fall into the water. When you talk to Claudia, you just get in a good mood. Whether on the phone or in person. She chatters very happily. When we spoke for the first time, I knew immediately – Yes, she will get the emotional topics out of Philipp! So let me put it this way: EVERYONE laughed, cried, looked puzzled and nodded a lot from the bottom of their hearts on this day! Many words that especially the bride and groom will never forget.
Everything looks so much nicer in front of a wedding arch. And so Süssholz Möbel & Dekoverleih came into play. Because let me tell you: Some things are simply worth renting and not buying. Philipp was also convinced of this relatively quickly, because he is not so keen on having golden candlesticks at home. But for the wedding they were an absolute must. And so we have put together a few decorative elements. This combined with a lot of creative DIY ideas worked great – of course everything according to the wedding style. Lots of wood. Rosé. Beige. White. Lots of nature with just the right splash of glamour. Because that’s exactly how the two of them wanted it. By the way, the groom’s parents were responsible for the flowers. Perfectly implemented what their daughter-in-law could only imagine in her mind.
Natalia Winkler. My absolute secret weapon…psssst – feel free to tell others. Calm and level-headed. She worked next to the champagne drinking girls (absolute cliché, but keeps the mood up) almost unnoticed. She understands working the details. Whether a bit more of color in the face. Or rather discreet. Whether straight hair. Or rather curly. I call it magic. She brings out the best and it stays like this until the end. That smile on the bride’s face – priceless.
Everything has to be perfect until the end. Because after a beautiful and swinging dance of the bridal couple, the dance floor is open and it stays full – until the end! DJ Beatz2Dance has understood that a good mix is everything it takes. Because one could say, the musical taste of the two couldn’t hardly be more different. Her: RnB, Latin, Reggaeton. Him: Rock, Metal, Malle (Layla, was not active in her establishment yet – insider for Germans). Gabor had to juggle quite a bit and kept everyone on the dance floor with his skills. I even got a little sirtaki and everyone joined in.
Someone did quite a bit of walking that day besides me. Everywhere something happens, as inconspicuous as it may be – the wonderful Noemi Verolla Photography comes around the corner and it clicks. No need to miss the sun, Noemi is there after all. That permanent smile. Good mood on two legs is what you call it. Suddenly nobody is so shy in front of the camera anymore. Everyone wants photos in a group. And Philipp suddenly becomes a wedding model (you definitely still owe me a styled shoot). How does she do it – no idea. But she captures everything and everyone in these beautiful photos. And now convince yourself…
